Our Headlight Restoration Process

Every headlight restoration follows a structured process to ensure consistent, long-lasting results.

01

Clean the Surrounding Area

The headlights are thoroughly cleaned and decontaminated to remove surface dirt, road film and residue. This prepares the lenses for safe correction and ensures even results.

02

Protection

We secure the surrouding area with durable masking tape to protect the adjacent panels from the sanding process.

03

Machine Sanding & Polishing

Oxidation, yellowing and surface defects are carefully removed using controlled sanding and polishing techniques. This stage restores clarity and removes the damaged outer layer of the headlight lens. The lenses are machine polished to refine the surface, restore transparency and improve light output, leaving a smooth, clear finish.

04

Clear Coating

A protective layer is applied to help slow future oxidation and maintain clarity for longer, extending the lifespan of the restoration.

Headlight Restoration Pricing

All Headlights go through the same process of sanding, however you can choose to have two types of protective coating to prevent them from fading again. The prices reflect the extra time and duration of the protection accordingly.

01: 3M Clearcoat Wipe

Price: £35 per Headlight

02: Ceramic Coating

Price: £50 per Headlight

This option restores clarity to cloudy or oxidised headlights and applies 3M clear coat wipes to protect the surface after correction. It’s a cost-effective solution that improves appearance and light output while offering approximately 1–2 years of protection, depending on exposure and maintenance.

For longer-lasting results, this option includes full headlight restoration followed by the application of a ceramic coating. The ceramic coating provides enhanced UV resistance, improved durability and up to 3-5 years of protection, helping to slow future oxidation and maintain clarity for longer.

Q. What causes headlights to become cloudy or yellow?

Headlights degrade over time due to UV exposure, road grime and environmental contamination, which breaks down the protective coating on the lens.
